Hello, this is the Happiness Unscripted Podcast. I'm your host, Kristin DeSouza. I'm a mom to two school age kids, wife to my Australian husband, career scientist, and woman on a journey in my midlife to understand myself better so I can build a life I'm deeply happy and joyful living. This podcast is about that journey, where I am working to build a life focused on one's mental, physical, and emotional wellness, fulfilling relationships with my family and friends, and engaging career with appropriate boundaries and abundant passions in life. You can join us on this journey. I'll be sharing my own ups and downs along the way. Speaking with people about their own experience of growth and change, as well as experts in areas to help us along each of our paths. I started this podcast because six years ago, I was in a career that should have felt fulfilling, but it was destroying my health while I struggled to communicate on how I was suffering to the key people in my life. This led me to start looking inside myself and taking tiny steps on my own to find a life I loved and am joyful to live with my amazing tribe.
